NYSC Member Who Died In Lagos Train/BRT Bus Accident Buried

The remains of the 28-year-old National Youth Corps Member, Oreoluwa Aina, who was involved in the Lagos train/BRT bus accident on Thursday, 9th March, have been laid to rest.

Aina was among the occupants of the BRT bus who lost their lives in the accident that involved a train and Lagos State Government staff bus at PWD, Ikeja area of Lagos State.

The late corps member, who was reportedly serving with the Curriculum Services Department of the Lagos State Ministry of Education in Alausa, was buried on Saturday at Atan cemetery.

Present at her burial was a delegation of the state government led by the Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo.

Also the deceased’s family members and the State Coordinator of NYSC, Yetunde Baderinwa were present.

Recall that the accident occurred on Thursday morning when the BRT bus carrying staff of the Lagos State government attempted to cross the rail track and collided with a moving train. PWD bus stop. along Oshodi-Ikeja axis.

Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) had reported that two persons were confirmed dead while many were injured in the accident.

Some of the victims were discharged from the hospital on Saturday after receiving treatment and were certified to be in good state.
