No Casualty In Lagos Building Collapse – LASEMA

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said that no one was hurt when a two-storey building collapsed in Orile Iganmu area of Lagos on Monday morning.

In a statement released on Monday, Mr. Nosa Okunbor, Head of Public Affairs at LASEMA, revealed that the structure, which was situated on Amusu Street, Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu, fell at approximately 8:45 a.m.

LASEMA’s Response Teams were promptly sent to the location to conduct a search and rescue efforts, he said.

“LASEMA Response Teams in Search and Rescue Operation is at a self-collapsed building on Amusu Street, Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu.

“No casualties and updates to follow,” he said.

A video shared on social media showed moment the building went down.

The incident reportedly caused panic in the area as residents of the area fled for safety.
