Nnadozie Outlines Title Ambitions At Brighton

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has stayed that she opted to join Women’s Super League side Brighton and Hoves Albion because she wants to win titles at the English side.

Nnadozie is currently Africa’s best goalkeeper as evidenced by her performances at major tournaments and her award in 2024 as CAF Africa Goalkeeper of the Year.

“I feel so great. I’m really excited to join this amazing club,” Nnadozie said in an interview  with the club’s website as shared via Brighton’s official X account.

“From the very first moment I heard about the club’s interest, I was keen to be part of it, and I’m happy to finally be here.”

The Nigerian shot-stopper added, “My aim is to win trophies, win matches, and most importantly, help the team achieve great things.”

Brighton Women’s head coach Dario Vidosic corroborated Nnadozie’s expectations when speaking to the media.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chiamaka to the club,” Vidosic enthused.

“She’s a talented, commanding goalkeeper who will bring stability and confidence to our backline.

“She has played at the highest level and gained valueable experience from major competitions, including the UEFA Champions League.

“We’re confident she will add both depth and hunger to a squad already filled with ambition as we prepare for the upcoming season,” Vidosic said.

Nnadozie is with the rest of the Super Falcons players in Casablanca, Morocco ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
