Nigerian Stock Market Capitalisation Falls To N26.61 trillion

Nigerian market capitalisation closed at N26.61 trillion, after the bourse depreciated by -0.05 percent on Monday, losing N13.99 billion from the previous day’s N26.62 trillion.

The crash was on the back of the All-Share Index losing 25.95 basis points from Friday’s 49,370.62 ASI, to close at 49,344.67 on Monday.

Also, value of trades fell to N1.30 billion, as investors transacted 122.73 million shares in 3,915 deals.

It fell short of the 132.23 million shares exchanged in 3,045 deals worth N1.62 billion last week Friday.

Top five gainers

Courtville share appreciated by 9.09 percent to rise from N0.44kobo to N0.48kobo per.

Honeywell Flour stock grew N0.21kobo, up from N2.42kobo to N2.63kobo per share.

Mutual Benefit ended trading with N0.27kobo from N0.25kobo per share, rising by 8 percent.

NEM gained N0.18kobo to end trading at N4, having opened with N3.82kobo.

Champion Brew stock was up by N0.11kobo, closing with N3.90kobo, from N3.79kobo per share.

Top five losers

FTN Cocoa depreciated by 9.09 percent, dwindling from N0.33kobo to N0.30kobo per share.

Lasaco also fell by 8.65 percent to end trading at N0.95kobo, after opening with N1.04 per share.

Wapic followed the same path, losing 7.32 percent after trading hours, to sell at N0.38kobo from N0.41kobo per share.

ETI reported a decline of N0.60kobo from previous day’s share price of N10.60kobo to end trading at N10 per share.

NGX Group share depreciated to N19.60kobo from N20.55kobo, after losing N0.95kobo during trading hours.

Top five trading equities

Mutual Benefit reported 18.42 million shares valued at N4.97 million were traded on its floor.

Transcorp recorded 9.23 million shares valued at N9.71 million.

GTCO saw investors trade 8.57 million of its shares valued at N173.74 million

Sterling Bank recorded 7.93 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N11.90 million

Access Bank reported 7.86 million valued at N65.41 million, exchanged investors hands
