A 0.39 percent decline in the all-share index (ASI) wiped off N274.06 billion from the stock market capitalisation, which depreciated from N68.89 trillion on Wednesday, May 21, to N68.62 trillion on Thursday, May 22.

This was driven by the 436.08 basis points lost by the all-share index, as it dropped from 109,619.1 ASI to 109,183.02 ASI.

Over 1.64 billion shares were traded by investors in 26,176 deals worth N19.09 billion, exceeding Wednesday’s 664.15 million shares traded in 19,439 deals, valued at N12.99 billion.

Top five gainers

  • UHOM REIT’s share price increased by N4.60 kobo to rise from N46.15 kobo to N50.75 kobo per share.
  • Redstar Express’ share value grew by N0.55 kobo, up from N5.55 kobo to N6.10 kobo per share.
  • RT Briscoe ended trading at N2.29 kobo per share, from N2.09 per share – indicating an increase of N0.20 kobo.
  • Sovereign Issurance gained 9.38 percent to end trading at N1.05, having opened with N0.96 kobo.
  • Custodian’s share value was up by N1.80 kobo, after closing at N21.80 kobo from N20 per share.

  • Chellaram’s share price depreciated by N1.30 kobo, dwindling from N13.05 to N11.75 kobo per share.
  • May and Baker recorded a N1.30 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N11.75 kobo after opening with N13.05 per share.
  • Linkage Assurance lost N0.16 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N1.46 kobo from N1.62 kobo per share.
  • Omatek reported a decline of 8.82 percent from the previous day’s share price of N0.68 kobo to end trading at N0.62 kobo per share.
  • MCNichols recorded a N0.20 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N2.10 kobo after opening with N2.30 kobo per share.
