Nigerian Government Organises Training for Citizens On Artificial Intelligence

Nigerian government through the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology has called for applications from citizens including youths, students and civil servants for a self-paced training that is set for a period of 3-6 months on artificial intelligence (AI).

Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has said that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will create a great platform for all Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) resources and stakeholders in the country.

Benefits

Highlighting the benefits, the Ministry said successful applicants will have the opportunity to master AI fundamentals, gain practical experience working with popular AI tools and frameworks, obtain a professional AI certificate, and also demonstrate their AI knowledge and innovations by participating in national competitions.

Eligibility

It said the training is open to Nigerians from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including youths, students, and civil servants who are interested in getting cutting-edge AI skills and building a comprehensive understanding of AI concepts, ethical practices, and their real-world applications to solve challenges, can apply for the training that is set for a period of 3-6 months.

For university students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program have a special opportunity to compete for the prestigious AI Ambassador role.
