Nigerian youths have stormed the International Conference Centre, ICC, in Abuja, to protest against the election results that are being reeled out to the public.
This is coming after we have seen the incompetency in the collation of the presidential results and the delay in announcing the winner of the presidential elections.
The protesters stormed the national collation centre on Monday led by activist, Moses Ogidi-Paul to express their displeasure over the election results.
The Nigerian Youths described the conduct of the presidential election as disgraceful while carrying placards that read: “BringbackIREV, no IREV no collation,” “Nigeria not for sale, we fight for justice,” and “INEC keep your promises” among others.
The Nigerian Presidential results are still being collated in many parts of the state and two days after no winner has emerged. This has caused many Nigerians to fault the INEC for their failure to collate results properly and timely.
Many fear that the delay is a strategy to rig the Nigerian elections in favour of a particular candidate. Nigerians, especially the youths have called for the cancellation of the election in states they believe were compromised and have expressed their displeasure on the incompetence of INEC.
So far, the Nigerian protesters are yet to be addressed by any INEC official.
