‘Nigeria Just Breaks My Heart…’- Simi Laments Economic Challenges

Renowned Nigerian musician, Simi has expressed her concern over the prevailing economic challenges in the country.

Taking to her Twitter handle on Wednesday evening, Simi shared her feelings of sorrow and frustration regarding the state of affairs in Nigeria.

This development follows President Bola Tinubu’s decision to remove subsidies on petrol, leading to a surge in fuel prices, reaching N612 per litre.

Consequently, there has been a widespread increase in both the cost of living and goods and services.

Simi conveyed her anguish for Nigeria, revealing that the ongoing situation weighs heavily on her heart daily.

The mother of one also took the opportunity to articulate her apprehensions about the nation’s current state and voiced her grievances concerning the enduring challenges faced by Nigerians.

The “Joromi” crooner posed thought-provoking questions regarding how Nigerians are managing to navigate through the ongoing economic crisis.

She wrote: “Nigeria just breaks my heart a little more every day. How are people surviving?”
