Nigeria, Ghana To Battle Again For U-20 AFCON Ticket

After the Black Stars of Ghana eliminated Nigeria from the 2022 FIFA senior World Cup race, both countries been drawn in Group B of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations with Nigeria hard pressed to avoid another disappointing defeat at the lower cadre reports Prime Business Africa.

The competition will hold from May 7 to May 20 in Niger Republic, and will also serve as the qualifiers for the U-20 AFCON to be staged in Egypt in 2023.

The four semifinalists at the competition in Egypt will represent Africa in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2023 to be helosted by Indonesia.

Ladan Bosso will lead the Flying Eagles to the tournament, after the NFF retained him as the head coach of the U-20 Eagles during the week.

THE FULL DRAW:

Group A: Niger Republic, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast and Togo

Group B: Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso.

The winners and runners up in each group will qualify for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
