In a resounding endorsement of Nigeria’s new Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq., the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), expressed unwavering confidence in her ability to spearhead the growth of the nation’s real sector.

Oye’s commendation came with the revelation that Dr. Uzoka-Anite had secured a staggering $14 billion in investment pledges from India, signaling a new era of economic prosperity.

In an exclusive statement, Oye emphasized the unique qualities that make Dr. Uzoka-Anite a standout leader. He remarked, “Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a visionary leader with a proven track record of success.”

“Her impressive background and extensive experience have uniquely positioned her to excel in her current role, as evidenced by the recent $14 billion in investment pledges from India.”

Highlighting her previous roles in banking and subnational governance, Oye explained, “Hon. Minister Uzoka-Anite’s previous roles in the banking industry and subnational governance have equipped her with a wealth of knowledge, skills, and expertise that she has applied to the task with exceptional competence.”

“Her remarkable achievements as the Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Commissioner for the Economy in Imo State, where she enacted sweeping reforms in public finance management, earned her global recognition from institutions such as the World Bank.”

Furthermore, Oye underscored the transformative impact of her work, stating, “The transparency and responsible fiscal management framework she introduced resulted in the revival of the nation’s biggest oil palm plantation and the take-off of a dredging project of a vital river channel connecting Southeastern Nigeria to the Atlantic Ocean.”

Dr. Uzoka-Anite’s pivotal role as the Secretary of the Presidential Economic Committee and the Presidential Food Security Council was also commended by Oye.

He said, “As the Secretary of the Presidential Economic Committee, Dr. Uzoka-Anite has played a pivotal role in designing action plans for the economic roadmap of Nigeria. Similarly, as the Secretary of the Presidential Food Security Council, she has contributed to the identification of critical infrastructure for food security and sustainability.”

Her accomplishments in the banking sector, especially her leadership role at Zenith Bank, did not go unnoticed. Oye praised her financial expertise, saying, “Her exceptional leadership at Zenith Bank, where she rose to the position of Group Head, Treasury, FX and Financial Institutions, played a crucial role in the Bank’s growth and success.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Oye highlighted Dr. Uzoka-Anite’s philanthropic efforts and her contributions to STEM education in Nigeria. He mentioned, “Dr. Uzoka-Anite is also a philanthropist and has published several science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) books, which are used as teaching materials in Nigerian schools. She has also provided scholarships and mentorship to gifted students in her community.”

However, Oye hailed the Minister for her remarkable achievement in securing the $14 billion investment pledge from India, saying, “Her recent success in securing $14 billion in investment pledges from India at the business roundtable, organized by her Ministry, is a testament to Hon. Minister Uzoka-Anite’s leadership acumen, negotiation skills, and expanding global network.

“Her collaborative and strategic approach brought together key players and stakeholders to engender a positive outcome that will undoubtedly benefit Nigeria’s economy and trade.”

He added, “Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, as the Honorable Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, exemplifies visionary leadership, competence, and tireless dedication to the betterment of Nigeria’s economy, industry, and trade. She is a force for good, and her work is transforming Nigeria on a grand scale.”
