Mohbad’s Death: Naira Marley, Sam Larry Remanded For 21 Days In Police Custody 

The Magistrate Court in Yaba Lagos has issued an order for the remand of Nigerian musician Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry in police custody for a period of 21 days.

This decision comes in the wake of the tragic death of Ilerioluwa Oladimedji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initially, the Lagos State Police Command had requested a 30-day detention period for Naira Marley and Sam Larry as they continued their investigation. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun reduced the custody time to 21 days. During this period, both individuals will not be allowed to leave the country.

The arrest and subsequent detention of Naira Marley and Sam Larry have garnered significant media attention. Naira Marley, in an Instagram post on September 26, 2023, vehemently asserted that he is not a fugitive and expressed his intention to present his perspective once he returns.

In his official statement, Naira Marley expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Mohbad and vehemently denied any involvement in the tragic incident. He clarified that he had been out of the country for over a week before Mohbad’s unfortunate demise.
