The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it has found out the owner of the app that generated the fake JAMB results used by Miss Mmesoma Ejike.

The examination body’s spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this on Wednesday. According to him, the owner of the parody app is also a student of one of the Nigerian institutions.

He said the student will be prosecuted, adding that he will also lose his admission.

Benjamin said, “We have discovered the person that discovered this app. He is a student at one of our institutions.

“Now, as I speak with you, we are moving to pick him up and the person will lose his admission status in that school.”

There has been an uproar over the examination board’s announcement a few days ago that Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma had inflated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result from 249 to 362.

The board has maintained its integrity and asserted that the candidate’s result never emanated from its portal.
