Man United, Ajax Set For Talks On Martinez Transfer To Old Trafford

Manchester United transfer chiefs are set to meet with their counterparts from Ajax on Wednesday to discuss the possible transfer of defender Lisandro Martinez.

Negotiations have entered key stages between both sides as the versatile player who can play as a left back, central defender or defensive midfielder is set to move for a reported £45m price.

Arsenal were also keen on Martinez as competition for injury prone Kieran Tierney but Martinez is holding out for United to reunite with manager Eric ten Hag who was his head coach at Ajax.
