Man City Pips Chelsea To Reach FA Cup Final

Pep Guardiola's men back to winning ways after Champions League pain

Manchester City on Saturday evening reached the final of the 2023/2024 Emirates FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Wembley stadium.

City were smarting from their Champions League disappointment midweek when they lost 4-3 on penaties to Real Madrid and re now unable to defend the title they won last season or even achieve the double treble again.

Chelsea had some players returning from injuries but the emotions are not the same in City camp as they complain of a shorter recovery time.

The duo of Noni Madueke and Nicholas Jackson were guilty of missed chances especially in the first half.

Bernado Silva however scored the only goal of the match in the 76th minute to banish the thoughts of his penalty miss against Real Madrid.

City will face the winner of Sunday’s game between Manchester United and Coventry City in the final.
