Others that will be part of the track burning exercise tonight are: O Seville (Jamaica) 9.81, and N. Lyles (USA) 9.83.

The final promises to be a photo finish with all the qualified athletes running below 10 seconds. Even defending champion Marcell Jacobs will have to dig really deep to survive the challenge that will come his way.

Ashe qualified by grabbing one of the fastest non-automatic spots after placing 4th in heat 4 with a time of 10.16s, placing behind Oblique Seville (9.99s), Hakim Sani Brown (10.02) and Puripol Boonson (10.13s). He had expressed delight that he made it to the semis and was hoping to build that but that did not happen tonight.
