Important Registration Guidelines for 2025 UTME

The 2025 JAMB registration will follow a straightforward process. All prospective candidates must meet certain requirements before proceeding. First, applicants must have an 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN), which can be obtained from any National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) enrollment center or via the NIMC mobile app. This NIN is essential for creating a JAMB profile.

Once you have your NIN, you will need to send it to 55019 or 66019 to receive a 10-digit JAMB Profile Code. This code is needed to complete your JAMB profile setup.

A valid phone number and functional email address are also mandatory for the registration process. Candidates must ensure that they use the same phone number throughout the registration and examination period to receive critical updates from JAMB.

Documents and Payment for JAMB 2025

Candidates registering for JAMB 2025 must have their O’level results, such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE, ready before registration. However, students awaiting their results can still apply, provided they upload their final results to the JAMB portal before admission.

Additionally, candidates will need to obtain an ePIN, which costs N3,500, through authorised channels like banks or online platforms. Further fees include N700 for the registration process, N1,500 for the main UTME exam, and N1,500 for the optional Mock-UTME exam, bringing the total cost to about N5,200 for those taking the main exam and N6,700 for candidates opting for the mock exam.

JAMB Profile Creation and Biometric Verification

In order to complete the registration, candidates must also submit personal details such as their full name, date of birth, gender, state of origin, local government area, and a passport-sized photograph.

They will also need to undergo biometric verification, which includes thumbprint scanning and a signature capture.

JAMB Exam Date: April 18-28, 2025

The highly anticipated UTME will take place from April 18 to April 28, 2025. JAMB advises all candidates to prepare well in advance, as the exam is a critical step in gaining admission to higher education institutions in Nigeria.

In conclusion, the 2025 UTME registration is set to open on January 15, 2025, and will run until February 26. With the JAMB exam date set for April 18-28, 2025, candidates must ensure they meet all the registration requirements and follow the outlined guidelines to successfully register and sit for the exam.
