The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In this year’s UTME, 1.9 million candidates sat for the examination, out of which more than 1.5 million scored less than 200.

Prime Business Africa reported that only 22 per cent of the candidates (432,829) scored 200 and above, while over 50 per cent of the 2025 UTME candidates scored between 160 and 199.
How To Check 2025 UTME
With the release of the UTME results for 2025, the next stage for candidates is to check their results and prepare for the Post-UTME conducted by various tertiary institutions in the country they applied admission.
Below is a step-by-step guide to checking the 2025 UTME result.
There are two major ways of checking the 2025 UTME result. Either through visiting the JAMB website, or through SMS.
Check UTME Results 2025 through the JAMB website
For checking the UTME results, candidates are to visit the JAMB eFacility Portal’
Step 1: Open a web browser and visit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s eFacility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login.
Step 2: Enter your login details: Here, you’ll need to provide your email address and password created during registration for 2025 UTME.
Step 3: Access your results: after entering the required details, click on the “Check UTME Results” button.
Your UTME score for each subject taken will be displayed on the screen.
Checking UTME Results 2025 through SMS
To check UTME results 2025 through SMS, the candidate is required to take the following steps:
Step 1: Open your messaging app: On your mobile phone containing the phone number used in registering the 2025 UTME, open your text message application.
Step 2: Compose a new message: In a new message box, type “RESULT” (all caps) followed by your JAMB Registration Number.
Step 3: Send the SMS: Send the message to either 55019 or 66019, the official JAMB result via SMS numbers.
After some seconds, the candidate will receive the UTME results sent by JAMB via SMS. The SMS usually contains the UTME scores for each subject taken by the candidate.
Note: This SMS service comes with a N50 charge, which will be deducted from the candidate’s mobile phone airtime.
