A JAMB approved CBT Centre
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted 24 Computer Based Test (CBT) centres across the country for poor performance at the commencement of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Head of public affairs and protocol for JAMB, Fabian Benjamin said in a statement issued on Sunday that the affected centres failed to comply with laid-down procedures, and candidates posted to these centres encountered difficulties during the examination.
The list of affected centres is spread across 11 states of the country, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. A breakdown of the states saw Lagos leading with six centres, Kaduna with four, Edo had three, Ondo, Abuja and Plateau had two each, while Nasarawa, Delta, Benue, Osun, Imo, and Oyo all had one affected centre each.
In Lagos, the affected centres are Massino Computer CBT, Itoga, Badagry; IP Soft Technologies Ltd. Apapa, Lagos State; Institute of Criminal Justice and Criminology Administration, Festac Town; Sweet Valley Educational Services, Ikotun; Certified Institution of Shipping, Magbon, Badagry, and Al-Miyzan Schools CBT Centre, Ikotun
Affected centres in Kaduna State are Bethel Baptist High School, Kujama; Zabib College, Unguwar Dosa; St. Albert Institute, Kafanchan, and Skolak Resources Ltd.
In Abuja, affected centres were Government Secondary School, Garki, and GEF Systems Ltd, at Dutse Junction. The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, and King Emmanuel College ICT Centre, Ore, are affected in Ondo State while the Plateau State University, Bokkos, and St Augustine’s Academy, Langtang, were affected in Plateau State.
Others include Oduduwa University in Osun, Federal College of Education in Oyo, Aunty Alice Schools in Nasarawa, Harry Pass Polytechnic CBT Centre in Benue, and Izisco Obos Institute of Maritime Studies and Technology in Delta.
According to Mr. Benjamin, affected candidates would be rescheduled. “Candidates posted to any of these centres are required to await further directives by checking their profile, email addresses and SMS on their registered phone for a new date.”
