Tragic Attack on Nuseirat Refugee Camp
An Israeli airstrike has claimed the lives of at least 16 people at Al-Jaouni School in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.
This attack left dozens injured, turning a place of refuge into a scene of devastation. “The strike targeted terrorists operating in structures located in the area of Al-Jaouni School,” said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Eyewitnesses captured the aftermath of the Israeli airstrike on video, showing chaos and destruction. “Adults and children were among the rubble, desperately helping the wounded,” one witness said.
The strike specifically hit the upper floors of the school, which is situated near a busy market. Reports suggest up to 7,000 people were seeking shelter at the school due to ongoing hostilities.

Palestinian officials expressed outrage and condemned the attack. “This is the fourth time they have targeted the school without warning,” one woman said, recounting how children reading the Koran were killed.
Local sources claimed that the airstrike targeted a room allegedly used by Hamas police, but this remains unverified. Hamas called the attack a “massacre” of defenseless civilians, including women, children, and olderpeople.
