MrBeast, a 26-year-old YouTuber famous for his extraordinary acts of philanthropy and over-the-top stunts, has found himself at the centre of one of the most bizarre Internet theories: Is MrBeast the Antichrist described in the Book of Revelation?
This strange rumour began circulating online after a lighthearted post on X (formerly Twitter) suggested uncanny similarities between MrBeast and the Antichrist. It’s a claim that has sparked curiosity and laughter, but it’s also got some people seriously thinking.

Before diving into the theory, let’s recap who MrBeast is. Born as Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast has become one of the most popular content creators with the highest subscribers on YouTube with over 300 million subscribers. He rose to fame through viral stunts like giving away large sums of money, recreating “Squid Game,” and even curing blindness by funding surgeries for thousands. His larger-than-life challenges and acts of generosity have earned him millions of subscribers and billions of views. But could there be more to his seemingly selfless acts?
“MrBeast is known for helping people, not hurting them. That’s the furthest thing from evil,” says one of his fans. But the claim that MrBeast is the Antichrist takes this discussion to a whole new level of absurdity—or does it?
The Antichrist in the Bible
In Christian theology, the Antichrist is described as a deceptive figure who will appear at the end of times, leading humanity astray and posing as a saviour. According to the Book of Revelation, the Antichrist will perform miracles, gain immense popularity, and eventually bring chaos. In Islam, this figure is known as Al-Masih ad-Dajjal, a one-eyed deceiver who will mislead many. The key trait of the Antichrist or Dajjal is deception—posing as someone good but hiding evil intentions.
With this biblical and Quranic background in mind, some Internet users began drawing parallels between MrBeast and this apocalyptic figure. After all, MrBeast does perform “miracles,” like curing the blind, feeding the hungry, and even bringing people “back to life” through financial aid. Could these acts be hollow imitations of Christ’s miracles, as some claim?
Internet Users Make the Case: Is MrBeast the Antichrist?
The viral post that reignited this theory came from X user @thinkiamsad, who humorously pointed out several supposed similarities between MrBeast and the Antichrist. The post listed that MrBeast:
- Appeared out of nowhere with sudden wealth.
- Makes “hollow imitations” of Christ’s miracles.
- Is wildly popular and seeks to rule over his followers.
- Is literally called “MrBeast,” a name that seems ominous.
Though the post was made in jest, it resonated with enough people to stir up online discussions. “It’s not just a joke anymore. Some people are genuinely debating this,” said another user on Reddit. The conversation has even reached Christian forums and Bible study groups, where people are debunking (or in some cases, supporting) the claim.
One post noted, “If you read the Bible closely, the Antichrist is a powerful figure who deceives many through miracles. MrBeast is doing the same with his YouTube stunts.” Yet, others were quick to refute this, pointing out that MrBeast has no political power and doesn’t seek to control anyone. “He’s just a YouTuber! Not a global leader or a religious figure,” argued another user.

Debunking the Theory: Is It Just a Joke?
While the idea of MrBeast being the Antichrist has provided ample entertainment for the Internet, let’s step back and critically examine the claim. First, in Christian eschatology, the Antichrist will emerge as a political and religious leader who commands great influence and power. MrBeast, while incredibly famous, holds no such authority. He’s not rallying millions behind a dangerous ideology or causing moral decay—he’s just making entertaining videos.
Second, the Antichrist is often depicted as a deceitful figure, one who hides evil behind a mask of goodness. MrBeast, however, is quite transparent about his work. His actions are recorded for the public to see, and his charity work directly helps people in need. “It’s hard to think of MrBeast as some evil mastermind when he’s literally helping blind people see again,” says YouTube user John Doe in response to the theory.
Lastly, one key detail about the Antichrist in both the Bible and the Quran is the physical trait of having only one eye. MrBeast, apart from wearing glasses occasionally, has perfect vision. “It’s like people forgot the Antichrist is supposed to have one eye! MrBeast is not even close,” commented a Reddit user.
Why Are People Entertaining This Theory?
So, why are people even entertaining this theory? The Internet loves a good conspiracy, especially when it involves a public figure as polarizing as MrBeast. Whether it’s flat Earth theories or debates about secret Illuminati members, these kinds of discussions thrive on platforms like Reddit, X, and TikTok.
However, the MrBeast-Antichrist theory might be tapping into deeper concerns people have about the influence of social media celebrities. With the rapid rise of influencers like MrBeast, who wield enormous power and attention online, it’s easy to see why some might find the situation unsettling. The fact that someone with such influence can reach billions through a single video might evoke a sense of fear—fear that this power could be used for evil purposes.
But as much as we might joke about MrBeast being the Antichrist, it’s important to distinguish between playful speculation and reality. MrBeast is not a religious figure, nor does he claim to perform miracles in the way described in religious texts.
MrBeast, Just a YouTuber, Not the Antichrist
At the end of the day, MrBeast is not the Antichrist, nor is he trying to be. He’s a YouTuber who has built a career on philanthropy and stunts. While some may find it fun to compare him to a biblical figure, it’s a stretch to make this claim seriously. As one commenter said, “The only thing MrBeast is guilty of is being really good at making viral videos.”
