International Symposium Tackles Tomorrow's Challenges In Accounting And Sustainable Development

In a bid to address the challenges posed by recent economic disruptions, the University Oran2 is set to host a pioneering international symposium, “Accounting and Sustainable Development: What about Tomorrow’s Challenges?” on May 9, 2024. This event is poised to draw the attention of accounting professionals, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders in sustainable development from around the globe.

The organizers have adopted a hybrid event format, allowing participants the flexibility to join either on-site at the Auditorium – University Oran 2 or virtually. This inclusive approach aims to overcome geographical constraints and foster a global dialogue on the pressing issues at the intersection of accounting and sustainable development.

The symposium will feature thematic axes covering a range of topics, including environmental and social issues, tools for measuring sustainable performance, challenges of implementation, fiscal implications of sustainability, and sustainable management. A distinguished scientific committee, comprising global experts such as Pr. Bernard Colasse from Paris Dauphine University-psl and Dr. Jessica Northy from Coventry University in the UK, ensure a diverse and insightful discussion.
