Celebrations by fans in the city of Milan continued into the wee hours of Tuesday as the club usurps Napoli as league champions.

Inter have had an inspiring season but in recent games, have tend to suffer blips.

The newest Scudetto kings got ahead in the 18th minute of the game when Francesco Aserbi headed home a great goal from a corner kick.

Inter were presented with several scoring chances but it was until the 49th minute of the game that they carved open the Milan defence again.

Marcus Thuram who provided the assist for the first goal, showed nerves of steel to place the ball to the bottom corner as he was given close attention by AC Milan defenders including  England international of Nigerian descent, Fikayo Tomori, who was left sprawling on the floor before he scored with a disguised finish.

Tomori however benefitted from the industry shown by Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze whose delivery into the box was first met by Rafel Leao to put Milan on the score sheet with a headed goal 10 minutes from full time.
