Insecurity: Army Chief Tasks Soldiers On Effective Operations

Nigerian Soldiers have been directed to carry out their operations effectively to avoid lapses in the ongoing anti banditry campaign.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Faruk Yahaya gave the charge to Soldiers during an operational tour of the 31 Brigade Areas of responsibility in Minna, Niger State.

General Yahaya while addressing operational commanders, urged them to take appropriate tactical measures to tackle the menace of banditry and kidnapping in their respective areas of responsibility.

He told the Commanders that the Nigerian Army would continue to ensure the provision of combat hardware and logistics to reposition and enhance the ongoing operations.

The COAS disclosed that his tour was in continuation of ongoing evaluation and review of troop’s operations in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other sundry crimes across the country.

He advised the soldiers to work in synergy with sister security agencies to effectively dismantle the network of banditry and kidnapping in their areas of operations.
