Nigeria’s Super Eagles beat the Black Galaxies of Ghana 2-1 to qualify for the final of the 2025 Unity Cup to hold on Saturday at the GTech Community Stadium.
Eric Chelle’s team will face Jamaica in the game while Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago will face-off in the third place game.

Stanley Nwabali
The Chippa United safe hands had a standout game by making some crucial saves.
Nwabali was not overly troubled in the first half but was given some jobs to do by the Ghanaians who vastly improved in the second half. 7/10.
DEFENDERS
Ismaila Sodiq
One of the home-based contingent in the game. He picked up a yellow card but showed lots of defensive discipline and was good going forward. 6/10.
Semi Ajayi
Released by West Bromwich Albion, Ajayi was not out of place in the game from the start but his influence faded somewhat in the second half. 6.5/10.
Igoh Ogbu
Although he was booked in the first half, Ogbu had a fairly decent good game and was particularly good in the air. 6/10.
MIDFIELDERS
Wilfred Ndidi
Was comfortable in midfield as he shielded the backline superbly. 7/10.
Papa Daniel Mustapha
Showed resilience but not really the best he could offer. Subbed by Ahmed Musa. 5.5/10.
Frank Onyeka
Solid start to the game albeit he seemed to tire out as the game petered away. 6/10.
ATTACKERS
Samuel Chukwueze
The AC Milan forward dazzled with his undeniable great footwork. He created one decent goal-scoring chance. Subbed off in the second half..7/10.
Sikiru Alimi
Full of industry but had to come off in the second half. 6/10.
Cyreil Dessers
The Rangers striker scored Nigeria’s first goal with a good finish. He was the Man of the Match. His off the ball runs and link ups were good to see. 8/10.
THE SUBSTITUTES
Ahmed Musa
The game marked the return of Musa to the team. He organized the group but did not have sufficient time to reenact his old form. 5/10.
Kelechi Iheanacho
The Middlesbrough striker was denied a goal but his commitment level was promising. 6/10.
Emmanuel Onyebuchi
One of the home-based stars in the team. Had an okay game as the game winded out. 5/10.
Collins Ugwueze
Introduced late into the game but showed flashes of brilliance and tenacity in midfield. 5/10.
