Ile Ife Magistrate Court Remands 27 Year Old Man For Stealing N1 million Worth Of Catfish

An Ile-Ife Magistrates Court on Tuesday remanded a 27 year old man Seun Fisayo for allegedly stealing catfish said to be worth N1 million.

 

Fisayo committed the offense on 9 December 2021 at Number 9, Irepodun Mokuro Line 3 in Ile-Ife.

 

 

 

The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi, prayed the court to prosecute the accused who stole 350 catfishes, worth N1 million, belonging to one Mr Feyemi Nicholas.

 

 

 

The offence committed contravened the provisions of Sections 383 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.

 

 

 

The accused person, Fisayo pleaded not guilty to the charge levelled against him.

 

 

 

The defense counsel, M.A Adeyemi prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms, promising not to jump bail if granted.

 

 

 

In his ruling, Magistrate Olusola Aluko denied the bail application and remanded the accused person at the Ile-Ife Correctional centre.

 

 

 

The magistrate directed the defense counsel to file a written bail application for consideration.

 

 

 

The case was adjourned till 27 January 2022 pending bail application

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line.

Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
