How Osimhen Thrilled Talented Woman With Special Invitation

A woman who put her talent to use, producing a hand-made dull of Galatatasary hit man Victor Osimhen, was rewarded with a special invitation to Süper Lig final, it has been revealed.

The unnamed woman diligently knitted a miniature of Victor Osimhen in his usual mask.

The Hand-made art in Galatasaray colours attracted the attention of the former Lille striker who did not hesitate to specially invite the woman to the Süper Lig final that saw Galatasaray win their 25th Süper Lig title on Sunday after demolishing Kayserispor 3-0.

Osimhen had opened scoring in the 26th minute, before teammates Yilmaz and Muslera increased the tally in the in the 29th and 89th minutes respectively.

A picture emerged of the honoured woman beaming with smiles as she held the special art-work. She was also captured in a picture with Osimhen who was full of appreciation for the gesture.

Osimhen has become more of an idol for most Galatasaray fans following his exploits since joining the Turkish league giants on loan from Napoli.

Although suitors have been indicating their interest from left, right and centre to sign the Nigerian international in the forthcoming transfer window, Galatasaray are on their part doing all they can to retain him.

Only few days ago Vice President of the club Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu said the club will do all it can to retain Osimhen who has become not just a household name in the Turkish league but has blended so well with the club while at the same time delivering the needed goals.

His efforts, has seen the club win both the Turkish Cup and the Süper Lig with two weeks. Osimhen who has scored career 178 goals has within the short period he has been with Galatasaray netted 29 goals in 25 appearances with 5 assists.

Meanwhile Osimhen was left out of the 25-man team named by Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle ahead of the friendly against Russia and the Unity Cup in London that will see Eagles battle Black Stars of Ghana, Reggae Boyz of Jamaica and The Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago.

Also left out is current African footballer of the year Ademola Lookman. Leaving out the two African footballers of the year is not unconnected with the need to allow them focus on transfer hints around them at this time and Chelle’s desire to test new players ahead of the next stage of world cup qualifiers.

Russia will host Nigeria in an international friendly on June 6, at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The game will be the first-ever senior international meeting between the two countries. The friendly is a welcome development for the Russian team that is facing ban from FIFA and UEFA over Ukraine invasion.

Only recently United States President Donald Trump, appealed to FIFA President Gianni Infantino to see how the world soccer ruling body can review the ban and allow Russia participate in the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

It is however left to be seen how the request will fly as qualification for the Mundial that will feature 48 countries for the first time has since been ongoing.
