Nigeria’s female flag football team’s assistant coach Nnaemeka Anyanwu has reflected on the country’s participation at the continental championship in Cairo, Egypt.
The team’s triumph in Egypt seemed to have peppered over the cracks but Anyanwu has highlighted the challenges the team faced.

Anyanwu then reeled out the long line of ideas, efforts and determination that went into preparations for the tournament.
“There are a lot of coaches and people who put in sacrifices and time to build up this team.
“They really worked hard on how the team plays. So we are happy and excited that we are part of that journey.
Coach Anyanwu showered accoladed on the players for how they adhered to instructions within a short period.
“Though many of them play in other sports, they have been able to do this within limited time. They just came into this sports with might and put in their best effort. This is the result of all that.”
