Unidentified hoodlums have attacked the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Many Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) were said to have been burnt by the raging fire set on the INEC’s office building in the LGA.

When Prime Business Africa correspondent reached the traditional ruler of Ojoto, His Royal Highness,  Igwe Gerald Obunadike Mbamalu, on phone, he said they got the information at about 3 am on Wednesday that the arsonists came in a white Hilux van and alerted the Police division in the area, but nothing was done to prevent it.

INEC was, however, yet to respond to Prime Business Africa’s inquiry about the incident as at the time of filling this report.
