German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz Visits Tinubu At Aso Villa For Bilateral Ties

In a diplomatic move, German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, being part of Chancellor Scholz’s two-day visit to Nigeria, incorporated a high-profile German delegation comprising CEOs from the country’s premier corporations and a cultural entourage.

The two leaders are expected to explore ways of fortifying the bilateral relations between the two countries.

This marks Chancellor Scholz’s third major visit to Africa and his first visit to Nigeria since President Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023. The discussions are poised to catalyze new avenues of collaboration between these two countries.

The visit hopes to usher in a new era of economic and cultural cooperation. Germany and Nigeria have had a warm and longstanding relationship spanning over 60 years.
