Fire Rages Through Adamo, Ikorodu, Leaving Trail Of Destruction

A devastating fire accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 30 March 2025, in Adamo, Ikorodu, Lagos, leaving a trail of destruction and shock in its wake.

The fire, which started from sparks emanating from an electric pole near the bus stop, quickly spread to several shops and businesses in the area, fueled by flammable materials such as plastics and consumables.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with people running in all directions, trying to salvage what was left of their properties. Despite the efforts of those at the scene, who quickly sprang into action to help put out the fire, it took several hours to bring the blaze under control.

The fire resulted in the destruction of several businesses and shops, with estimated losses running into millions of naira.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire was caused by a combination of factors, including a short circuit, faulty electric wiring, and the presence of flammable materials.
