FIFA Club World Cup: Messi Shows Class As Inter Miami Edge Porto

Lionel Messi showed that his status as arguably the biggest football talent of this generation had not dwindled when he delivered a majestic performance Thursday night in Inter Miami’s 2-1 win over Porto.

The strike was Messi’s 50th goal for the MLS side.

The Argentine scored Inter Miami’s second goal from a wonderful freekick which Porto failed to recover from.

Nigerian-born Spain international Samu Aghehowa put Porto ahead in the 8th minute from the penalty spot.

Martin Anselmi’s side went close before the break but Francesco Moura’s shot was cleared from the touchline.

Telasco Segovia got to the end of a Marcrlo Wegandt’s cut back and executed a powerful shot to the roof of the net.
