Everton Keen On Securing Super Eagles Star Sanusi For ₦22billion

Brighton, Crystal Palace also interested in the Nigerian's signature
June 17, 2022

Premier League side Everton hope to launch a summer swoop for Super Eagles of Nigeria left back Zaidu Sanusi reports Prime Business Africa.

The Porto defender who was instrumental in the Portuguese side’s 30th league title in the concluded 2021-2022 season has a €45million(₦22billion) release clause in his contract at Porto.

Portuguese media outlet O’jogo reports that Sanusi is considered as a good signing at the Meseryside as manager Frank Lampard seeks to improve the side that escaped relegation only on the last day of the season.

The Dragao will be loathe to letting the Nigerian leave the club with his powerful play not just in defence but in attacking play helping in no small means to nick wins.

Aside Everton, Brighton and Hoves who could lose Marc Cucurela to Manchester City and Crystal Palace are also interested in the services of the left back.

The outrageous release clause could however hamper any such deal from happening unless the structure of payment is made flexible for the buying club.
