In a video shared on social media, the women were seen wailing and lamenting about horrible experiences. They said security agencies have failed to protect them and called on the Enugu State government to intervene and save their lives.

One of the women said their husbands and sons don’t go to farm anymore and their women are raped and killed in a very horrible manner.

“We are in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo is very bad now. We are hungry, Fulani Herdsmen are killing our people and raping our women,” one of the protesters lamented.

“Our women are being ràped by Fulani Hêrdsmen, our husbands don’t go to farm again, our son’s don’t go to farm again, when the women go to farm, they are beaten by the Fulani Herdsmen, who ràpe and also put stick inside their vãgina,” another woman among the protesters stated.

She said some of the women who were raped and their private part pierced with stick are currently sick and reeling in pains of the bruises caused by the horrific acts.

She said their farm settlements have been occupied by the armed suspected herdsmen who forcefully evicted them.
