England U-21 national team on Saturday night clinched a consecutive European title as they beat Germany 3-2 in the final at the Stadion Tehelne pole.

Substitute Jonathan Rowe secured the victory for the young Lions as he connected with a good cross in extra time.

The win in Bratislavia did not come on a platter as England would have to work for the victory and a place in history.

Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot and Omar Hutchinson both scored midway through the half.

Germany international goalkeeper of Nigerian descent Noah Atubolu denied Hutchinson and James McAtee before he eventually conceded.

The victory marks England’s first in major tournaments in 39 years after reaching the finals and semifinals of those tournaments.
