Elsa Majimbo Calls Out Naomi Campbell Over Alleged Control

Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo has ignited a storm of controversy with her recent allegations against British model and actress Naomi Campbell, shedding light on a once-close friendship that has now soured.

In an eight-minute video posted on social media, Elsa revealed her grievances, accusing Campbell of pushing her into a downward spiral of drinking and despair after feeling let down by Elsa’s actions.

Their relationship traces back to 2020 when Elsa reached out to Campbell via text, and the pair embarked on a holiday together in Kenya.

However, what started as a promising friendship took a sharp turn when Elsa claims Campbell threatened her with legal action over a documentary she filmed without Campbell’s consent.

According to Elsa, during their time together, they had discussed collaborating on a documentary about Elsa, with Campbell offering to finance the project and provide guidance.

However, tensions flared when Elsa released a documentary about herself without Campbell’s involvement, leading to a rift between the two.

Furthermore, Elsa alleges that Campbell has taken credit for her success, claiming that Campbell boasted about “making” her. While Elsa acknowledges Campbell’s influence in elevating her career, she refuses to accept that she owes her success solely to Campbell.

In explaining her decision to speak out, Elsa expressed the difficulty and fear she experienced in confronting the situation but emphasized her desire not to be controlled by someone else’s narrative.

She highlighted that while Campbell played a significant role in her career, she doesn’t consider them friends or enemies but acknowledges the impact Campbell had in shaping her early career in Hollywood.

The allegations have sparked a debate within the entertainment industry, raising questions about power dynamics, mentorship, and accountability
