Edo State government has offered automatic employment to Aminat Yusuf who emerged as the best graduating student of the Lagos State University, Ojo.

Announcing the automatic employment at the government house in Benin, Governor Godwin Obaseki disclosed that Yusuf’s family has gladly accepted the offer.

He noted that the government is committed to improving the quality of human capital in the public service.

According to him, “We have prioritised this and will get the best to work in the state. We have done everything within our power as a government to ensure that we create an enabling environment for work and as a result we also want the best hands.”

Yusuf who hails from Edo State is being recognised as a worthy ambassador of the state as the governor assured her of further support and rewards for her outstanding achievement.

Edo State head of service, Anthony Okungbowa, expressed the government’s intention to retain Yusuf after completing her Law School programme and the National Youth Service Corps programme by making her a proposal to serve in Edo State.

In a letter, Okungbowa explained that this measure aims to prevent the risk of losing her talents.

Yusuf’s incredible performance has attracted recognition beyond Edo State. Last week, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, presented her with a cash reward of N10 million in appreciation of her remarkable academic feat.
