D’Tigers Beats Guinea, Enhances World Cup Chances

Nigeria’s D’Tigers on Saturday evening came from 11 points down to win their second match of the 2023 FIBA men’s basketball World Cup final qualifiers in Angola after overcoming Guinea in Group E.
The Nigerian men’s team had on Friday evening overcame Côte d’Ivoire in their first game of the second round of qualifiers to the FIBA World Cup in Philippine, Japan and Indonesia.
D’Tigers won the contest on Saturday 62 -59 albeit the Gunieans led at some point and seemed to be on the way to jeopardising Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes.
Côte d’Ivoire are already through to the this year’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Philippine, Japan and Indonesia and Nigeria are now set for a place at the World Cup if they could only claim a win over the Angolan side when they meet on Sunday night.

The D’Tigers’ team to the tournament is made up of entirely home-grown talents albeit the foreign-based lads will likely be available for the World Cup proper.
Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia will co-host World Cup, the first by any country since the start of the tournament.

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
