The event aptly titled ‘Akwa Ocha Expo’ which literally means ‘The exposition of the White Fabrics’ which the Anioma (Igbo speaking) people of the Delta state are known for when it comes to fashion.

Principal Partner of the project, Yolanda okereke-Fubara said the event is over due, as the state has both human and technical know-how to stage the the biggest entertainment and fashion Expo in Nigeria.

Prime Business Africa gathered that the flagship edition of the event will hold at the Dome Event Center Asaba on 15th April, 2022 and is entitled “Akwa Ocha Expo” to celebrate the rich fashion heritage of the Anioma people, and Government’s investments and partnerships in expanding the economic capacity of the Akwa Ocha industry.

Fubura hopes the organisers of the event will attract the needed partnerships to make it an annual event, celebrating different aspects of the fashion and lifestyle of the different cultural groups in the state.

In a statement made available to the media on preparation for the event, the Production Partner for the event, Mr. Ediri Obada disclosed that Nollywood Actors commended the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa for his contributions to the development of entertainment and fashion industry in the State and Nigeria at large.

Obada stated that the event will be attracting several brand sponsorship and notable Nigerian celebrities including the Nollywood legend Pete Edochie, comedians IgoDye and Godons, and musicians such as Harrysong, Destalker and a host of others.
