Davido's Frog Pendant Sparks Social Media Frenzy

Afrobeats sensation Davido has set the internet abuzz with the revelation behind his multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box. During a recent interview with GQ, the 30 Billion Gang leader shared his list of ten essential items, unveiling the story behind his unique jewelry collection.

Davido breaks down his essential items: from his jewellery collection to his ‘hater blockers’ (sunglasses). Of course, nothing tops a glass of Martell cognac, specifically Davido’s go-to drink, The Sidecar.

Davido, known for his extravagant lifestyle, explained that the frog pendant was a response to social media trolls who dubbed him “frog” due to his hoarse voice on Twitter (now X). In defiance, he transformed the negative comments into a statement piece, stating, “I made a frog pendant because my voice is hoarse, and they [trolls] were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.

In related news,  Davido, shared a video of himself and his wife, Chioma Rowland, taking a walk with two baby strollers.

The video shared on his X handle on Tuesday evening, further confirms reports that the singer who lost his son, Ifeanyi, in October 2022, welcomed a set of twins.
