Davido First Baby Mama Fight Over Imade's Custody

Afrobeats star, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has initiated a legal action seeking the custody of his daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke, with the case labeled LD/1587PMC/2024.

Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama and mother of his daughter, Imade, responded to the lawsuit initiated by the Nigerian musician regarding the custody of their daughter. The counter-affidavit, which contains 102 paragraphs, was submitted by her legal team, Anthony Idigbe SAN of Punuka Attorney, and Dr. Bimpe Ajegbomogun.

In his legal filing, Davido claims he has consistently met his financial responsibilities for their daughter’s well-being. He asserts that despite these efforts, Sophia has made unreasonable demands designed to harass and frustrate him. Davido wants to secure a court order granting him joint custody and unfettered access to ensure he can maintain an active role in his daughter’s life.

Conversely, Sophia Momodu, through her legal representatives, denies these allegations. She contends that Davido has chosen not to see their daughter since July 2022. She further claims to have solely shouldered the responsibility for their daughter over the past two years, while Davido allegedly posts pictures of Imade on social media to falsely present himself as a supportive and active father.
