CHRISTMAS: 1,000 Civil Defence Officers Deployed In Cross River

NSCDC Arrests 76 Gay and Lesbian Suspects in Gombe

The Cross River Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 1,000 personnel to provide security throughout the Christmas and New Year festivities in the state.

The deployment is contained in a release signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Solomon Eremi, on behalf of the State NSCDC Commandant, Mr Samuel Fadeyi-Adekunle.
According to the release, “In order to beef up security during and after the festive period, the Cross River Command of NSCDC in Calabar has deployed 1,000 personnel across the state to ensure maximum security coverage throughout the festive period.
“This is coming at the right time that the nation is going through a lot of security challenges of senseless violence.
“The State Commandant wishes to congratulate all Christians in Cross River and Nigeria at large on the birth of Jesus Christ which is a period of celebration and dedication to God.
