An FCT High Court in Abuja has just vacated the order restraining the All Progressives Congress (APC) from  holding its national convention. Bello  Kawu in his judgement on Friday said a political  party cannot be sued by a member.

This means that the ruling party can now go ahead with its March 26 National Convention.

Prime Business Africa had exclusively reported that  said court order, which was kept under wraps to  allegedly truncate the APC convention was one of the reasons Yobe State Governor and Chairman of the Caretaker Committee  Mai Mala Buni  was first removed from office by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buni was this week reinstated as chairman to save the party from the hammer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), even as the party later released information saying the Secretary John Jamnes Akpanuodedehe remained sacked and could not return.

The party has been facing a lot of crisis and confusion since its many changes and reversals with the returnee  chairman Buni  and the Abubakar  Sani Bello factions  insisting on their own lists of Sub Committee chairmen, thus endangering the credibility of the party’s national convention on March 26.
