FX has released the trailer for its new limited series “Class of ’09,” a suspense thriller cantered around a class of FBI agents grappling with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence within the U.S. government. The eight-episode show, starring Brian Tyree Henry and Kate Mara, is set to premier on May 10 on Hulu.

The series follows the reunion of Quantico’s 2009 class, brought together after the mysterious death of one of their own. The trailer starts with the class reciting an oath to uphold the principles of the bureau, but tensions mount as some begin to question the FBI’s progress.

As the stakes rise, the show takes viewers on a roller-coaster ride through classic FBI tropes, including laser-filled rooms, swarms of agents closing in on a home, gun fights, and rooms filled with countless monitors broadcasting the same image from screen to screen.

According to the official FX synopsis, “Class of ’09” explores the nature of justice, humanity, and the choices that define our lives and legacies across multiple decades and interweaving timelines.

In some scenes, undercover agent Poet (Mara) can be seen with a dark-colored contact in one eye, suggesting the use of some sort of technological device, while Tayo (Henry) addresses a room full of government agents, outlining changes he’s made to the bureau.

“Class of ’09” was created and executive produced by Tom Rob Smith and also stars Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Jon Jon Briones, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman, and Rosalind Eleazar.

With its star-studded cast and thrilling plot, “Class of ’09” promises to be a must-watch for fans of suspenseful dramas. Catch it on Hulu starting May 10th.
