Christmas: Nze Duru’s Acharaugo Foundation Brings Joy To Many Hearts In Anambra

In the spirit of Christmas Season when the message and gesture of love, charity and community service are displayed across the world, Acharaugo Foundation, founded by Nze Chidi Duru has once again brought smile and joy to the lips and hearts of many in Anambra State through its noble philanthropic acts.

The night of December 24, 2021 was very colourful in the house of Nze Duru at Oba, Nkpologwu community in Aguata Local Government Area as they organised the second edition of the Christmas Carol and Nine Lessons.

During the carol which was sponsored by the Acharaugo Foundation, a nonProfit Organisation, Nze Duru following the footsteps of his father late Mr Christopher Duru, doled out empowerment and relief packages to many members of the community and beyond.

The Christmas Carol which started by 6 pm, was anchored by a special choir called “GENTLE VOICE CHORALE” based in Awka. It had in attendance church ministers like Venerable Bethel Amaechi of All Saints Orthodox Anglican Church, Ezinifite, and among others.

The foundation distributed bags of rice, and cash donation as Christmas gifts to people who gathered to participate in the carol.

Over the years, the foundation has been engaged in acts of philanthropy, granting scholarships to indigent but brilliant students from the, assisting widows and empowering young men and women in their different trades.

According to Duru, a seasoned entrepreneur and lawyer, the foundation has trained over 50 persons to university level through scholarship grants and has empowered many in various skills and still sponsoring more people both at secondary school level and tertiary institutions.
