Chelsea on Monday confirmed the signing of Mamadou Sarr from their partner club Strasbourg.

Sarr will arrive as Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer after Liam Delap for £30m from Ipswich Town, Estevao from Palmeiras for £29m and Dario Essugo from Sporting Lisbon for £18m.
Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho’s loan spell at Chelsea is over and there is no indication that or could be made permanent.
Chelsea will begin their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a June 16 game against Los Angeles FC before facing Brazilian side, Flamengo on June 20.

The Ligue 1 side finished in seventh place to book a place on next season’s UEFA Conference League play-offs.
Strasbourg are owned by American, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital under the BlueCo umbrella, and Sarr’s is the first transfer between the clubs since the ownership by the Americans.
