Ndidi Makes Substitutes Bench
The Nigeria Super Eagles have three of their players included in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Group Stage Best 11  after an impressive performance so far at the tournament in Cameroon.
Only on Saturday statistics website Whoscored.com published its own version of the Group stage Best Eleven and the Confederation of African Football have come up with its official best players for the group stage.
The Nigeria Super Eagles were the only team that reached the only team that reached the last 16 round winning all group matches at the 33rd AFCON.
The CAF AFCON2021 Group Stage Best Xl included three Super Eagles trio of Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong and Wilfred Ndidi.

Simon was the Man of the Match in the game against Sudan while William Troost Ekong won same prize in the match against Guinea-Bissau.

Ndidi has been the livewire of the team from his midfield position and it was a bit surprising that he only made the substitutes bench.

Mali’s Yves Bissouma was deemed by the Technical study group of the continental football controlling body as the best performing defensive midfielder in the group stage.
