Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly requested from the club’s hierarchy that former striker Karim Benzema be brought back to the club following his said unhappy stint at Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Olympique Lyon are some of the clubs mooted to have interests in the Algerian-born France international.

Los Blancos brought Joselu Mato upon Benzema’s departure and although former has weighed in with sone goals, his numbers are still way below the standards of the legendary number 9.

Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane was the player touted to be likely to be arriving the club as the speculation surrounding Kylian Mbappe continues to rumble.

Spanish sports publication, Sport, is now reporting that there is a real possibility that Benzema could make an emotional return to 14-time European champions where he won the UEFA Champions League and a couple of La Liga titles.

The report claims that Benzema has six days to decide his next destination as the unusual quiet transfer window closes on February 1 in England.

The goal-scoring responsibilities at the club have been shared by the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, and the team’s midfield and defensive players.
