Breaking: Tinubu, Shettima Officially Take Oath Of Office

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been officially sworn-in as the 16th President of Nigeria. Tinubu and the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, took their oath of office at the ceremony in Eagle Square, Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola, administered the oath of office on Tinubu at exactly 10:40 am, after Shettima, who took the oath as Vice-President at exactly 10:30 am.

Tinubu is now the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 

Tinubu, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had pledged to fulfill his campaign promises, adding that though there are many challenges confronting the country, none would be an excuse for failure to perform.
