Breaking: FIFA Appoints Mexican Referee For Super Falcons, Republic of Ireland Match

World football governing body, FIFA has appointed a Mexican referee, Katia Garcia as the official for the final Group B match between Super Falcons of Nigeria and Republic of Ireland at the ongoing Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The match will be played at the Brisbane Stadium in Australia on Monday by 11 am Nigeria time.

Katia Garcia was in charge of New Zealand vs Philippines match in which the co-host “shockingly” lost by alone goal on July 25.

The 30-year-old umpire will be assisted by two of her compatriots.

Karim Dias Medina as Assistant Referee 1 (AR1) and
2. Enedina Caudillo as AR2.
3. Lina Lethovaara from Finland is the 4th match official
