BREAKING: Anambra Lawmaker, Offor Returns To PDP From APC

HON Onyebuchi Offor, House of Assembly member representing Ekwusigo State Constituency in Anambra State, has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), two weeks after the governorship election in the state.

Hon. Offor, younger brother to Sir Emeka Offor, announced his decision to return to PDP at plenary of the state House of Assembly on Thursday.

He explained that his decision to return to PDP followed wide consultation with members of his constituency.

“Two months ago, I announced my defection from PDP to APC on the floor of this House. I have tested the waters and realised that my former party PDP is better.

“So, I want to humbly inform this House that I’m going back to my party, the PDP,” Offor stated.

He was one of those political office holders who left the party to All Progressives Congress (APC) when the gale of defection was raging in the state prior to the 2021 governorship election.

Upon joining APC, Offor was made the Chairman of Andy Uba Campaign Council in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.
